Spaghetti Squash

A fun way to introduce this squash is by letting kids scoop out the strands after it bakes, then top with their favorite pasta sauce.

Cut spaghetti squash in  half lengthwise then scoop out seeds. Bake using either method below.

1) Place cut side down into baking pan with 2 inches water, and tightly seal with foil. Bake spaghetti squash at 400 degrees for at least 40 minutes until it is easily scraped into strands with a fork – if not, continue baking for 5 minutes at a time until done.

2) Place cut face up in baking sheet and bake at 350 degrees for at least 40 minutes until it is easily scraped into strands with a fork – if not, continue baking for 5 minutes at a time until done.
