Turkey Tacos

There are no chili peppers or hot pepper sauce in this recipe, only ground pepper to taste for spice. Try adding these later on once this recipe has been accepted.

2 tbsp olive oil

1 lb ground turkey

1 medium onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tsp chili powder

1/4 tsp salt

pepper to taste

8 oz can tomato sauce

Heat a large skillet then add oil. Once oil is hot, cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is browned and onion is tender. Stir in chili powder, salt, pepper and tomato sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 15-2o minutes.

Serve with heated taco shells, shredded lettuce, shredded cheese, chopped tomatoes, sour cream. For a healthier salad version, crumble taco on to a bed of lettuce and add meat and toppings – or omit taco shell altogether.
