Pork (Baboy)

I’ve included recipes here that are “Not Necessarily Filipino” – because Pinoys are foodies and love to eat pretty much everything! 😉

Unless otherwise stated, recipes are my own adaptations based on our family’s preferences – feel free to tweak to your own liking.

Kain na! (Let’s eat!)

Hambone Soup (Not necessarily Filipino)

The perfect way to make use of leftover ham bones. You may also use leftover ham without the bone, just reduce the amount of water and skip the boiling step, adding more salt (or bouillon) to taste. Try adding more vegetables like green beans or even broccoli towards the end of cooking time.

Pork Sinigang (Stovetop or Slow Cooker)

Instant Pot Pork Sinigang

Pork sinigang is my ultimate comfort food. I remember way back when, finishing off a pot of sinigang and some rice with my best friend — and now our kids love it, too!

We’ve used sinigang packets in the past but have found these versions just as yummy, and Paleo to boot. With the Instant Pot recipe, dinner’s served in less than an hour!
